Nexus One would be exclusive in a new way

Google is going the gmail way for it's handset too.

While the device is not restricted to any particular network, Nexus 1 will be available by invite only! It looks like Google is doing a public beta first just like the web2.0 services.

So this January, we could see a lot of bidding on eBay for both invites and handset itself.

Nexus One hardware specs were published by Engadget recently

A 3.7" AMOLED screen matching the Droid
512MB of RAM n ROM too
4 GB flash drive with expansion slot
1ghz processor
5mp camera
All common wireless radios
Android 2.1




No wonder Apple has announced a Jan end meet, an interim iPhone update is inevitable to withstand the onslaught of Droid and Nexus One.
