Launched in the last week of September, the new City from Honda is already in everyone's wish list. Its aggressive and appealing styling being readily accepted, unlike the Gen 2, which was disliked by many. To top it all, the feature pack is awesome, captivating both the performance enthusiast and the value for money buyer.This one is a 100% blockbuster hit.
Thankfully, Honda has brought back the aggressive styling for its popular Asian alternative to the civic. Even when its Gen 2 city did extremely well, it was widely critized for sedate styling and performance. That even led to City Gen 1 becoming a coveted possession for performance fans.
Just as Ford and Maruti was inching on Honda City's numero Uno position, Honda has yet again come with a game changer. The new City is a stunner, just like the new Accord, Civic and CRV and comes with a peppy VTEC that still manages to be as fuel efficient as the Gen 2 city. It now comes with added safety features as standard for even the base model and Honda still managed to retain a very competitive price tag.
In a welcome change from the spartan interiors of previous generations, the new City has got a refreshing and appealing interiors with a integrated audio system thats goes will with the dash.
Its going to be game over for Ford Fiesta and Maruti SX4. Well Fiesta TDCI might still sell with its super frugal diesel engine.
I wish Honda comes introduces a neat Diesel engine soon. Thats the only thing needed for them to gain complete dominance in Indian Car market.
