Megas Sashidharan - A tribute

Learned that my beloved school principal is retiring and wrote a tribute to him on the orkut school community. Thought of having it here too

Megas Sashidaran

Its so good to see that all of us who used to hate him at least at some point of time in school keep missing him now.., I wouldn't be able to imagine SNPS without our beloved princi...

Missing... the times when we used guess whether his favorite was pan parag or pan masala, his typical "wat ede" and being honored with one of the very first suspensions in the history of SNPS ( 1996 may - for playing cricket at the nearby temple ground when school camp was going on)

I respect him; rather admire him for his modesty.

Last yr, during my wedding reception, he walked in. it was more of a raymond ad scene.

I told, look keerthi, here comes the man who made me what I am today. He comes to us and says “what a de... do u remember me?" and as we bow for his blessings, he says, "its the warmth, respect and admiration we ( former students) have and the success stories that we have build, that gives me the energy to keep going, for there are another thousand young minds to be shaped.."

His modesty and humility floors me, for his accomplishments are far greater than any ambani, any guru or politician. His contribution to society is unrivalled. He is a role model to anyone. Be it business or politics or management. Planting the seeds of a great institution with nothing more than 2 rooms, lots of courage and determination (along with other founder members of the institution) and nurturing it into what
its today.

SNPS has not only build many a lives or contributed immensely to society, but also is a standing example of building outstanding value with the least resources.

He has weathered many a crisis, internal and external. I admire him for his sense of responsibility and courage, which gave confidence to parents of the first few batches of the school, a confidence that SNPS will be the best that can happen to their children, that SNPS will deliver the best by the standards of any school in kerala.

And yes, it delivered from the very first batch and continues to do the same till date.

I salute you, Sir

Aron
